THE GUNS OF NAVARONE 1961 Original US 1 Sheet Film Poster 27 x 40

£500.00

The Guns Of Navarone is a WW11 star studded action packed war film based on the novel by Alistair MacLean. The Island of Palmaria on the west coast of Italy was used as a stand in for the fictitious Island of Navarone which is set in the eastern Aegean, and houses a huge fortress that has two massive radar controlled canons that guard the shipping lanes and nearby Islands. The Allied forces have to 'take out' those canons in order to liberate the islands and those living on them and the Allied forces stationed on them. The cast is lead by Gregory Peck, David Niven and Anthony Quinn and supported by Stanley Baker, Anthony Quayle, Richard Harris, Gia Scala, Irene Papas and James Darren. A great looking poster featuring the three main leads in front of a sea scape backdrop.
