The Day Of The Jackal 1973 is a political thriller based on the 1971 novel by the great Frederick Forsyth and adapted for the screen by Kenneth Ross. Directed by Fred Zinnemann it tells the story of the ‘Jackal’ which is the pseudonym for the assassin hired in 1963 to assassinate General De Gaulle, the French president. The Film starred Edward Fox, Derek Jacobi, Alan Badel, Tony Britton, Eric Porter, Delphine Seyrig, Michael Lonsdale and Cyril Cusack. This Polish poster is fantastic in it’s conception, a real work of modern art by the renowned artist Eryk Lipinski, with bold colours and a clear geometric design. As with other Polish posters this would not look out of place as a stand alone piece of art.
