NEW YORK, NEW YORK 1977 POLISH RELEASE 1978 ONE SHEET FILM POSTER 37.5 x 26.5
New York, New York 1977 romantic comedy musical from America. Directed by none other than Martin Scorsese and starring Liza Minnelli and Robert De Niro. They play New York musicians who become lovers and then a duo act. Charting their meeting, struggles to make it in the entertainment industry and keep their personal lives on track. They fail miserably on a personal level but both eventually make it professionally, although separately. Supporting cast included Lionel Stander and Barry primus. The film is most famous for making the song ‘New York, New York’ a classic, a standard to this day for many an artist. Yet again the Polish artist Jan Mlodozeniec has pulled it out of the bag…. The poster is so more than that of its western counterparts being vivid in colour and centring around the main star, Liza Minnelli, depicted in her famous profile shot albeit in caricature with the New York skyline as a back drop and De Niro playing his Saxophone.
