.Nashville 1975 is a comedy drama musical written by Joan Tewkesbury, a long time collaborator of the director Robert Altman who shot the film entirely on location in Nashville. Amongst a huge ensemble cast are Karen Black, Geraldine Chaplin, Barbara Harris, Ned Beatty, Lily Tomlin and Shelley Duvall. The film charts a period of about a week in Nashville and follows the lives of those involved in the Country and Western and Gospel music industry. Hailed by some as the best film ever made and certainly Robert Altman’s great masterpiece. Nashville still holds the record for having garnered the most Golden Globe nominations for a single film. This Polish poster is very striking in its composition compared to the original American version, having just a singer in profile centred in the cross hairs of a riffle, a reference to part of the film.
