MYRA BRECKINRIDGE is to say the least way before it's time! Based on a novel of the same title by Gore Vidal published only two years earlier. An American comedy containing everything from a sex change, to female on male rape, to femdom, to fantasy and all done to a comedic tempo. The film starred the late wonderful Raquel Welch in the title role, who having had a sex change and no longer Myron Breckinridge, then appears as Myra the late Myron's widow. In the supporting cast are John Huston, Farrah Fawcett and Rex Reed. Also in the cast is Tom Sellect making his feature film debut, along with the Great Mae West, tempted back to the big screen after over two decades away, to do what she does best....use and discard men! A shocking film on it's release but has since become a cult classic and the poster shows Raquel to full visual effect (post Op) as Myra. Well worth having if just for that. Relatively scarce now and very collectible.
