Mission Impossible 1996 is an American action spy thriller that was a reboot of the successful 1966 Television series. Directed by Brian De Palma and co produced by the films star, Tom Cruise. The film almost didn’t make it into production until Tom Cruise set up his own production company and decided that Mission Impossible was to be that company’s first project. The film was an enormous hit worldwide grossing nearly half a billion Dollars and went on to be the first of one of the longest and most successful action film Fanchise’s that’s still going today, and still topping the box office charts. In this first outing the supporting cast included Jon Voight, Jean Reno, Kirstin Scott Thomas, Vanessa Redgrave Ving Rhames Henry Czerny and Emmanuelle Beart.
