A Man For All Seasons 1966 is a historical drama film from Britain. Robert Bolt’s play of the same title was a huge multi awarding winning success on both sides of the Atlantic and led to him adapting it into a screenplay which went on to mirror the success of the play. Directed by Fred Zinnemann, and reprising his stage role in the lead is Paul Scofield as Sir Thomas Moore of which the film charts his final years in 16th Century England as adversary to King Henry VIII over his refusal to sanction the Kings divorce. Also in the formidable cast are Robert Shaw, Wendy Hiller, Leo McKern, Orson Welles and Susannah York. A great period poster featuring Scofield Surrounded by the supporting cast.
